RYA Advanced Powerboat - Day and Night Course
A 2-day course for leisure and professional boaters wanting to undertake more adventurous trips in small powerboats.
Candidates should be competent to the standard of the National Powerboat Certificate Level 2 (Coastal) with a knowledge of navigation and chartwork to the level of Day Skipper Shorebased certificate.
The course content includes pilotage, navigation and boat handling techniques for planing boats on coastal waters by day and night. The Advanced Powerboat qualification can be endorsed (on successful completion of a practical examination conducted by an independent examiner) by the RYA for commercial operations. Candidates are required to possess a VHF/DSC Radio Licence and hold an appropriate First Aid qualification. The candidate is then entitled to skipper catagory 3/4 commercial craft.
What our clients said:
"After taking two courses with Quality Time Training I can’t recommend them highly enough. Bob and his team are friendly and made the courses both informative and enjoyable. The combination of theory and practical was well pitched and delivered in such a way that even a complete beginner like myself was able to learn new skills that have enhanced my enjoyment of sailing".
