Quality Time Training is located at Portland Marina, which was the venue for the 2012 Olympic sailing events.
We are an accredited RYA and MCA Training Centre and Sea school and have been providing RYA courses in the Weymouth and Portland area since 1991.
Our school vessels include a Fairline Phantom 62 motor cruiser, Rodman 8.4m Fast Fisher, Sadler 32, Sigma 33 and an 8m Ribcraft rib. All vessels are coded under the MCA code of practice.
As well as boat courses from Start Motor cruising, RYA Level 1 through to RYA Yachtmaster and all of the RYA shorebased courses, we can provide experienced skippers and crew for motor and sailing boat deliveries.
Other valuable services include own boat tuition, accompanied passages, RIB, motor and yacht charter, STCW 95 training , diving courses and the organisation of corporate events throughout the UK.
Work boats are also available for commercial operations including marine surveying and sonar trials.

The RYA have launched 2 new courses for Motor Cruising which take effect immediately.
- Start Motor Cruising - £120 plus VAT
This course is intended to benifit those with no previous experience of being a crew member and introducing the skills required to do this and understand of how they can assist the helm.
Assumed Knowledge - None
- RYA Motor Cruising Advanced Pilotage Course - £350 plus VAT
This course is intended to teach boat handling, seamanship,pilotageand navigation up to standards required to drive a motor cruiser safely and undertake a short coastal passage.
Assumed Knowledge - VHF/SRC, First Aid certificate, knowledge ro the level of RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster Theory.
